Teen taal is known as the mother of all taals. It is a cycle of 16 beats.

do you have to tap it hard for it to make a sound? i tried to play something like the one you're playing once.
when i tapped it lightly, it didn't make a sound :( then i tapped it hard. it still didn't make a sound :((
anyway, i'm just curious :)
