Its awesome! I switched 3 years ago from violin. It was a bit hard because the violin uses treble clef while viola uses alto clef. I had to get used to the lower strings. It has an A, D, G, and C string while the violin uses E, A, D, and G. The viola also has a bigger body than the violin. It  has thicker wood. To me, it has a deeper, more luscious
