I feel that classical/opera music, alongside with jazz and blues, are the ones which inspire me most, each of them has pieces, authors that seem to speak directly to my soul when I listen to them at different points of my life, giving me comfort, strength, passion. And then, each artist has his particular way to communicate emotions, now I'm in love with Martha Argerich, Joyce Didonato and Ella Fitzgerald... Who knows what will inspire me most in a few years!

I believe Classical Music is a historically significant treasure that has always embraced art and culture together throughout the ages. And that every generation should be encouraged to explore its history, theory, and artistic depth. No other known genre has had more historical impact on human culture than classical music. Beginning  roughly in the 11th century it culminated, fully developed and even thrived into the 21st century. It has inspired the worlds greatest composers: Mozart, Beethoven, Bartok, Bellini, Puccini, Verdi, Bloch, Bizet, Paganini, Sarasate, Dvorak, etc, etc. Without question, it has certainly inspired and impacted my entire life.

Music that mostly inspires me are artists and genre of music from the 1920s to modern times (such as today). Hip-hop, rock, jazz and a bit of dub-step mostly inspires me musically.

What inspires me musically is my surroundings and most of the stuff I'm interested in outside of music such as anime and video games. Most of the artist that I am interested in are underground and some have the same interest as I do. Artist that I am interested in are Tyler the Creator, all members of ODD FUTURE, School Boy Q, Kendrick Lamar, Yung Lean, Yung Gud... the list goes on. The genres I am interested in are Hip Hop, Underground, Chillwave, trill wave, Neo Jazz, Trap this list goes on as well. There are also different styles of music I like that i can't identify the genre.

Justin Case Salusso, hello! Really glad you posted here. I'm also very inspired by conversations and friends. I'd love to learn more about the hip hop world, can you recommend an album or two that is your favorite? Thanks!

I am inspired from old school and contemporary hip hop artists like Nas and Travis Scott. I am also inspired from my friends who make music as well. I am inspired to write from events that happen in my life or intriguing conversations I have with people. I am inspired to produce instrumentals dependent on whatever mood I am in.

I'm am inspired by movies, poetry, books, artists, culture, and the people around me in everyday life. I think it's important that artists have multiple influences because it creates different perspectives on how to view one idea.

Poets that influence me include, Sylvia Plath, and Emily Dickinson. I think Plath was a very intense poet who knew how to write about personal imagery and intense focus, and I think Dickinson had this power to within short, compact phrases, express far-reaching ideas.

Some artists that influence me include, Amy Winehouse, Regina Spektor, Adele, Jason Mraz, Nina Simone, and Etta James. They influence me musically because all of them have unique voices and come from different centuries. This teaches me the different styles all of them have and how they put them into their music.

I am inspired by the diverse populations of different versions of music in general, but more specificily I am amazed by  youths various different arrangements of Hip Hop!  I am also moved by how individuals can become all consumed by music, as,if they have become one with grove!

I'm inspired by pretty much everyone you hear on country radio; although Hunter Hayes is definitely my biggest inspiration. Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Eric Church, Easton Corbin, Justin Moore, Miranda Lambert, and so many other fantastic singers/songwriters inspire me to make music. I don't think I've ever gone a day without listening to the radio or playing guitar!

Music has helped me with everything over the years, and I've always found it so much easier to write about how I feel as opposed to saying it. Music has been there for me no matter what. It's such a blessing.
