(Still catching lumps in this one. I fear that it's too vague, but I'm trying to capture that feeling of safety, of having someone there to just listen to you and give you what you need. Thoughts?)

Verse 1

Let me tell you it’s alright

We can make it through the night

Let me stoke you hair and hum a tune

Tell me what you need from me

I will give it all gladly

And if you cry, you can cry on me

I will never tell your secrets

I will never give you shame

Let me be your helping hand

To take away the pain

Tell me your worries

I will be here

Tell me your hatred

Tell me your fear

I will believe you, relieve you

Tell me your sorrows, dear

‘Cause tonight, tonight you are safe

Verse 2

Do you hold onto regret?

Do others tell you “just forget”?

Cuz it’s not always easy to let go

Sometimes you just can’t forget

And every shadow is a threat

So sometimes you have to forgive

But forgiving means a peace of mind

That maybe you can’t find tonight

So let me give you what you need

To take away the pain

And let me tell you

I know the only thing to fear

Is apathy

Don’t be afraid

If what’s inside you

Isn’t happy

We’re all emotion

So much commotion

But we’ll be fine

We’ll be fine
