great video and awesome post. The idea you talked about kinda goes along with the deep listening that Darcy James Argue talked about. it can be the same song but it's the little things that make it. and sometimes more then others you really have to listen deep to find the differences but it's there 

another song that comes to mind kinda like that is "fix you" by coldplay

Aram I'm so glad you chose a standard, and especially "Body and Soul". It's fascinating to watch how each of these performers interprets the song. Also I think your secret (which I will make everyone watch so I don't give it away!) is SO TRUE.
