This spring, Musical Exchange will host a songwriting project designed in collaboration with the Casterbridge Music Development Academy and the Rock School Fund. A select group of American students, ages 13-17, will get the opportunity to travel to South Africa to participate in a music festival! Details will be announced this spring.

About the Casterbridge Music Development Fund
The CMDA’s focus is to locate teenagers with talent and interest in music and the performing arts and to actively develop their interest by exposing them to well know musicians, by providing venues to practice and free access to equipment and music, drama and vocal teachers. The goal is to create functional groups that are able to entertain their communities and confidently perform in public. The CMDA’s mission is to use music to develop shared values between communities and cultures; identify and grow talented youthful musicians whose skill set will be enhanced; within an inspirational and respectful program.
