Because this challenge focuses on musical process--whether performing or creating music--successful participation will include posting to the Musical Exchange community at different stages in your process.
Begin by introducing yourself to the Musical Exchange community and sharing the idea for your “Step by Step” project. You may want to do this in a blog post or by posting a video.
Tell us about your progress, ask questions of the community, and share your work along the way. Again, a blog post or video is a good way to communicate about your progress, you may want to upload video or upload audio to share how your work is going, and embed this media in your blog post. If you are working on the creative challenge, you can attach a file (such as sheet music, or a lead sheet) to your blog post by clicking on the “paper clip” icon on the “Add a blog post” page.
Complete the challenge by uploading a video of you performing your piece. We look forward to featuring these videos on the Musical Exchange homepage and the Carnegie Hall website.
Did you know? You can feature your work on your profile page by rearranging the elements in your profile. You can even feature your video on your profile page by using the "text box" on your page to embed your video. You can drag most elements on your profile page to the top of the page so that it is the first thing others see when visiting your profile.
