Thanks Jon!!! I am glad you liked it...

I actually did very simple things. I conected a mic to the computer, and the piano with a midi cable. I used 3 diferent violins (this is important in order to have a sound that represents more an ensamble). Then I used the Garage Band, chose a tempo (you can actually hear the click at the begining) and started recording track by track. First the bass voices (piano and strings) and the solos at the end. The piece has something like 9 tracks (two for the piano, cause I recorded the hands separately, but shhhh on this hihihi) and I only did very few adjustements in balance, I tried to balance already from the recording process at the begining. I am quite happy with the result!! I want to record more pieces!!   :)

Greetings to everybody!

I love your piece. What technology did you use to record it, and what approach did you take to the multi-track recording process (i.e. order, balance, time, etc.)?

Oh, it actually posted my playlist! So, the first song was professionally recorded (it is actually the first version of the well know Pierrot Lunaire by Schoenberg by a LatinAmerican Ensamble).. Although the piece was written 100 years ago it still sound very modern and risky!! The second piece I recorded specially for the site, since I am not a composer what I tried to do was to use some technology to create my own version of a piece completly played by me..

This is a piece that I love, it is not original, but what is interesting is that it was my first approach to mixing some tracks, I am actually playing everything (4 violins tracks, a viola, and the piano)... I would love to read your comments... thanks you! H

@Ricardo. The songs should be owned and created by you. No covers or commercial media, just your original music. Check back soon for our posting of a new deadline for the next Pro Playlist!
