Carnegie Hall: Three things you love about music?
Hesty: Music can make me relax. Music inspires me about new things. Music boosts my spirit when I'm down.
Carnegie Hall: What are your four favorite foods to eat right now?
Hesty: Sate, bakso, es kelapa muda, and spaghetti. (The first three are Indonesian food!)
Carnegie Hall: Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
Hesty: My mother. She is the toughest woman I've ever seen. She is a single parent, but with her spirit, passion, and care, she is able to take care of her three daughters, including me, since we were children up to now.
Carnegie Hall: Can you tell us about the most fun you ever had at a musical event?
Hesty: Once, I organized a musical event called One Heart Stop Global Warming. This was an annual school music event, and I was a leader of the committee at that time. This was a great event because it was not only about music but also about our environmental mission, "To Stop Global Warming." Before the beginning of the music event, we planted around 500 trees and plants in one area to demonstrate our care of the environment. Then, we had the photography rally. It's awesome. For the closing event, we'd invited one of the famous bands called "Netral." It was fun and a great time for me because I was the leader and my musical event succeeded.
Carnegie Hall: Describe the best day of your life.
Hesty: Actually, I've got two best days in my life. First was having a good opportunity to go to USA and meeting great people; and when I've received my bachelor degree and did my graduation ceremony. It was a proud moment for me and my mom, after four years of studying.
Carnegie Hall: Where is your favorite place to go?
Hesty: My favorite place to go is one of the parks in Jakarta. It is Suropati City Park. I don't know why, but when I come to this place, the surroundings always make me calm.
Carnegie Hall: What do you want to ask the other members of Musical Exchange?
Hesty: What is the most inspiring moment in your life which changed your mind about your point of view about something or someone?
