Important changes to Musical Exchange

Dear Musical Exchange Members:

We are writing to inform you of two important changes that you will see in the Musical Exchange community next week: redesigning the website and opening access to more content.

Redesigning the Site

On Friday, June 10, we will be implementing a new design to Musical Exchange. With our new modern look, there will be an easier way to participate in everyday chats and Tuesday Talks, more intuitive navigation, and some new site features for your profile page! From the home page, you will find direct, easy-to-spot links so you can effortlessly customize your profile and post content like photos and videos.

The site redesign will impact your current customized profile page
—any personalization you have applied to your profile page will disappear. However, you will have immediate access to the new design studio, which makes it fun and simple to adjust your fonts, colors, background image, and even add custom CSS code!

Starting June 10
, you should look for these graphics on the homepage to get started customizing your profile page:

Or when you are on your profile page, look for the design studio icon in the black bar at the very top left of the page.

We’re excited for the site redesign and hope you enjoy the new design studio starting June 10th!

Opening Access to More Content

With the launch of our new design, we are making it easier for all Musical Exchange members and visitors to browse the site and to share links with others.

Beginning on Friday, June 10, many more pages within Musical Exchange will be visible to all visitors.  However, visitors still must register as members in order to post comments or media on the website.

Because of this upcoming change, we encourage you to take this opportunity to review your privacy settings on Musical Exchange. You can specify which visitors and members can view your profile page and content. For example, you can restrict your profile information to “just friends” if you wish.

If you have questions about these changes, please do not hesitate to contact us by sending a message to the Carnegie Hall profile or an email to distancelearning@carnegiehall.org
