Filmmaker Ali Gorfinkel's new short documentary The Juggler is the focus of Musical Exchange's Film Score Project. We are accepting film score submissions from composers and will select one of the scores to be recorded by professional musicians in a recording studio in New York City. We caught up with Ali recently and asked her about The Juggler and her interests.

Carnegie Hall: What drew you to creating a video about a juggler?

Ali: I wanted to make a portrait about juggling because my friend is really passionate about it, and I wanted to capture that side of her. I think it's really interesting to watch someone be so passionate about something.

Carnegie Hall: What you are looking for in a score?

Ali: I'm looking for a lighthearted, fun, upbeat, and whimsical score. I want it to fit the mood of the film.

Carnegie Hall: What other kinds of things are you into? What activities do you enjoy?

Ali: Along with film, I love playing soccer. I've been playing soccer since I was three, and it's one of my favorite things to do.
