Overture No. 1

As some of you may recall, I had been spending my previous semester working on a piece for a contest being put on by the Minnesota Sinfonia. As an artist and musician, I am always searching for inspiration. Sometimes I sit in a park to watch the trees rustle in the wind, or walk along the river and get lost in my thoughts, but mostly I watch and observe strangers that pass me by, trying to identify those moments and stories between human beings that intrigue me.

Live Indonesian Dance, Music & Design

I was treated to live gamelan music, video presentations about the country and culture, a batik fashion show, and two amazing dance performances at the launch of the American Batik Design Competition at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in New York.
