My musical instrument(s):
Bassoon, Piano / keyboard
My other musical interests, styles, and instruments are:
I can play some recorder from elementary school, but I don't think that counts. :)
My favorite artists, influences, and inspirations are:
I really like Coldplay (their new album rocks!!!), Maroon 5 and some others, like Jason Mraz. I think my inspiration would just be really good bassoon players. My lessons teacher would probably be one of them. She plays in the Nashville Symphony Orchestra and is really good.
More about me:
Hi! I came on this site because of a friend's request, and I really like it. It's nice to be with other people who like music. I LOVE to play the bassoon, and I think it is the perfect instrument for me, since I'm tall and have really big hands. One of my friends says she thinks I just look like a bassoon player. So, that's me. Nice to meet you!

Hi Lindsey! There was a new bassoon studio class video with Stefan Schweigert of the Berlin Philharmonic posted in the orchestra group. Check it out and let us know what you think!

I've been playing about three and a half years now. I lost the cellist from a small 'orchestra' I run at church, and that meant no bass part, so I put in a bid on a bassoon on eBay and won it, so I had to learn. Fast! I've got a Schreiber at the moment, as I can't afford a Fox, sadly. What do you play?

Hi Lindsey, as you probably guessed, I got your name from Rebecca in connection with me being a bassoonist, too. It's a rare instrument this side of the pond - hopefully not so rare in the US! Have you had a look at the Breaking Winds Bassoon Quartet's videos on youTube, very good for inspiring practice.
