"Abby your song is really great. The guitar playing is awesome and your voice reminds me of Nico. I love the vibrato that you do at 1:20. It's really cool that it's so fast, as not a lot of singers do that. Really looking forward to hearing…"

I hope I can benefit from this project by having a more thorough understanding of other musicians and how their music styles can infuse with mine.

Hi, I spoke with the tech guy at Carnegie today who said if the to.be format isn't working for you, you can complete the first prompt on your profile here. You can also customize your design, etc. Can't wait to see what you do!

I admit I am also a bit confused by the format, but the way I understand it, we can post anything at all which helps explain who we are--could be visuals, tracks, videos, etc. I'm going to find out more about the to.be format so if I find out more I will let you know. But generally--anything goes!

Hi Abby!

My name is Deidre and I'm a recent member of the community. I'm a pianist, singer and songwriter and I'm representing Carnegie Hall by serving as a mentor and peer here online.

I was so impressed with your entry. Congrats on being a finalist!! I so enjoyed watching you play in a virtuosic way but making it look so relaxed. Your voice just soars right over the top.

I admit I haven't heard of a few of your listed influences (like City and Colour)--so I look forward to hearing more from you, but also to learning from you as well!

Please reach out whenever you like with any comments, questions, etc. You can hear my music by checking out my profile. I'll be adding new content throughout the season.

I hope you'll do the songwriting prompts for the next couple of months. This first one is: Who are you as a songwriter?

Happy writing!

Deidre
