The Somewhere Project

This season, in celebration of Carnegie Hall’s 125th anniversary, the Weill Music Institute is launching The Somewhere Project, a citywide exploration of West Side Story. This unique creative learning project will engage people through events in all five boroughs of New York City, anchored by a large-scale production of West Side Story. We invite you to participate through investigating West Side Story as a musical, engaging in dialogue about the important questions that it challenges us to encounter, and through sharing your own creative work and ideas! Visit the Somewhere Project homepage on Carnegie Hall's website to learn more about the exciting work happening around New York City, and explore the project's companion course to particiapte from your home community!

Hello I`m Carmen Zavaleta an actress from Mexico City. When I was a child I decided become a theater actress, because I saw Evita. I think Musical Theater Project is an opportunity to work about music and energy. Let’s to tell histories!!!!

I heard that you all at Frank Sinatra High School were working on a musical. How's that coming along? Anyone here playing a lead role? Tell us about it.
